Yep, I get comments all the time about how quickly I've replied to an email from a student. For me its just part of doing biz the right way.

Or, you could just use CFMX's IsValid() built-in function, for some of these at least. Sometimes it pays to RTFM...

File under freaky coincidence!

Information/advice sharing would be good I think. So far my microstock advice would be use the lowest ISO setting possible, concentrate on getting good lighting (direct, on-camera flash won't cut it) and get the shot as close to "right" from the camera as possible. Other than that I'm still a clueless n00b who has no idea whether a photo will be accepted or rejected!

Tell me my dad has been talking to you about this... otherwise, it's a freaky coincidence! I've been considering getting into semi-pro photography, too, upgrading my equipment a bit, and diving into microstock. That got my dad thinking about it, too, of course. :)

Anyway, maybe we could all kind of email our shots around, participating in a bit of real, true constructive criticism (and praise, of course)? I have so much to learn that I'm not sure how helpful I'd be at the beginning, but after reading a few books on composition and photography basics, I'm sure I could offer a word or two of help.

It's been a while since I did this, so there's a chance something has changed in that time (in the same way that the ffmpeg project decided to arbitrarily change how the bitrate was specified...gah!)

I'll have to look into this, because it *is* a rather useful trick to have around if, like me, you've moved countries to somewhere where TV receivers are still trapped in the 1940's and your cheap/nasty video converter has two NTSC output modes (fuzzy and jittery).
